Giltedge Destination Management has selected MindMatters a project managed by Cape Mental Health as our social responsibility project.

The MindMatters programme has made a world of difference to 800 learners this year from the Ocean View Senior Secondary School in Kommetjie near Cape Town. Alarming socio-economic conditions in this area include poverty, child abuse, child neglect, substance abuse, violence and teenage pregnancy. This leads to serious learning, behavioural, attitude and mental health issues. But the MindMatters programme, run by Cape Mental Health Society in partnership with the Rotary Club of Claremont, the Department of Education, and MindMatters Australia, is tackling the impact of depression and hopelessness head-on.
